![]() Soul Sweat is our second home – a place where yoga is family, sweat is happiness and where you always find a friendly face. We are excited to take this next step and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for Soul Sweat Hot Yoga. ![]() This advanced certification will allow me to offer our first of many 200 hour yoga teacher training at our new location this fall. Our new location will have two yoga rooms and much bigger bathrooms- a necessity when your classes are 105 degrees and 65% humidity! I recently completed my 300 hour advanced certification at the renowned Wanderlust Studio in Austin with Leah Cullis and Kate Waiztkin. We have outgrown out current location on Camp Bowie Blvd and will be moving to a much bigger location in Near Southside in August 2018. We have an amazing team of teachers and an incredible student base. Balancing our careers with running a yoga studio has definitely had its challenges, but it has been worth every bit of it. My husband, Jayson Nag, is also an attorney who is in private practice. We wanted to make the studio our own, as well offer different types of classes. We bought the studio in May 2016 and changed the name to Soul Sweat Hot Yoga. My husband and I were approached about buying the studio and we jumped at the opportunity. I loved everything about the practice – the physical and mental benefits, and mostly the people. To counter not only the demands of a high stress career, but also the physical stress on my body, I decided to try Sumits Hot Yoga and immediately became hooked! So hooked, that a year later I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training and began teaching several times a week at Sumits Hot Yoga. ![]() After completing close to 50 triathlons, including 3 Ironman distance races, my body was in need of yoga. Around the same time, I started practicing law, I became interested in triathlons. I have been employed there ever since and have tried over 150 jury trials, with a specialization in child abuse cases. My passion has always been criminal prosecution and I was elated after being hired by the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in February 2007. I became a licensed attorney in November 2006. ![]() I always had plans of attending law school and went on to Texas Wesleyan Law School, now Texas A&M Law School, in Fort Worth. I started college at Tyler Junior College and then transferred to University of Texas at Austin, where I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 2003. I grew up in Mesquite, Texas and graduated from West Mesquite High School in 1999. Melinda, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today. Today we’d like to introduce you to Melinda Nag. ![]()
